Teacher Training

Volunteer PowerCrew provides free training to educators who want to enhance their current classroom activities by implementing service learning.  Educators receive instruction on how to introduce and integrate service to the community with their academic curriculum.  Each trained educator receives a resource kit that covers the core academic subjects with lesson plans consisting of hands-on volunteer opportunities. Each lesson is tied directly to the related TEKS component and is designed to encourage students to sharpen new skills and further expand their knowledge as well as give back to the community.

Volunteer PowerCrew also provides educators with a copy of the Basic User Guide and training on how to utilize the Web site to manage projects online.
