CONNECT
STUDENTS WITH PEACE CORPS VOLUNTEERS
Correspondence
Match is a two-year exchange between Peace Corps volunteers and
students in U.S. classrooms to promote cross-cultural learning. The
program helps U.S. students in the classroom learn about the people,
geography, environment, and culture of the world from the direct
experience of volunteers living in other countries. Teachers choose any
region of the world, any kind of program (e.g., agriculture, business,
education, health, environment), and even a specific volunteer.
To
assist in the correspondence, participants receive a handbook to
facilitate the exchange. The handbook also contains all the
details necessary for signing up and maintaining the correspondence
relationship. To learn more, visit http://www.peacecorps.gov/wws/correspond/.
