Are
you a high school junior or senior who is concerned about environmental
issues and looking for a paid summer internship? Do you want to
build leadership skills and become better prepared for college?
If so, this is the perfect internship experience for you!
The
ExxonMobil
Green Team is a summer youth program that provides paid internships and a
study program for high school students. Programs vary from city to city,
but all students involved in the program work on a project to better the
community in which they live. Since its launch in 1981, ExxonMobil has
invested more than $6 million in the Dallas program.
The ExxonMobil Green Team program is currently in place in nine
U.S. cities including: Torrance, California; Chalmette, Louisiana;
Clinton, New Jersey; Paulsboro, New Jersey; Baytown, Texas; Beaumont,
Texas; Dallas, Texas; Houston,
Texas; and Arlington, Virginia.
In Dallas, up to 50 high school juniors and seniors will be selected to participate in the eight-week program as ExxonMobil Green Team Ambassadors. Students will be placed in teams of three to five and work with local nonprofit organizations to promote environmental awareness or develop environmentally-focused projects.
Additionally,
