Gloria Campos is co-anchor of News 8 at 6 p.m. and 10 p.m., and is producer of "Wednesday's Child" on WFAA-TV/Channel 8 in Dallas, Texas. Campos joined WFAA-TV as a general assignments reporter in 1984. Campos' community involvement is extensive. She is a member of organizations such as the Advisory Board of the Department of Mass Communication at Texas State University in San Marcos, the Dallas Summit, the (DFW) Network of Hispanic Communicators and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood of North Texas.

Campos is a recipient of the 2002 Mother of the Year (one of three recipients) from Dallas Can! Academy, the 2001 Black Marryat Award for Career Achievement from the Press Club of Dallas, the 2001 Woman of the Year Award from Les Femmes du Monde, the Lifetime Achievement Award from Women in Film in 1997, 1995 Women Helping Women Award from Women's Center of Dallas, the 1994 Association of Women in Radio and Television "TV Personality of the Year" Award and in 1991 she received the "She Knows Where She's Going" Award from Girl's Inc.

Gloria and her husband, Lance, have been married for more than 20 years and have twin sons, Greg and Tony, born in 1993. When not at the station or volunteering in the community, Gloria enjoys reading, gardening, movies, collecting and spending time with her family outdoors, especially camping.
